My name is Josh Abess. I live in San Francisco. I find design inspiration everywhere, especially in places like thrift stores and flea markets. All around us are beautiful designs, covered in dust, and lost to history. I'm a history nerd and I’m a collector. I love the visual treasures of the past, seen in retro technology, vintage ads and illustrations, mid century furniture, action figure packaging, 16 bit video games, low poly animation, and sci fi book covers.

I studied arts administration at SUNY Purchase and graphic design at UC Berkeley. I've worked in art, music, and cinema and I hope to continue my focus on visual design as I bring the innovations of the past into the world of the present.
